Will my Insurance cover orthodontics?

  A. Each plan varies and it is up to the individual to call their Insurance Company or their place of employment to find out what their plan covers.

Q. Will my Insurance Company make the payment to the office?
  A. You are responsible for the payments and the Insurance Company will reimburse you. You need to send proof that you have made payment here to the office.

Q. Is there a charge for the first appointment?
  A. There is no charge for the consult.

Q. What is done at the consult? How long does the consult take?
  A. For a child, height and weight is taken. Their growth is plotted on a growth chart. The doctor will discuss growth with the parent and child. An examination of the jaws and teeth is done and you will be acquainted as much as possible with some probabilities concerning treatment, time, fee and payment arrangements. The consultation is approximately 15 minutes.

Q. How long do I have to wear my final retainer?
  A. The first six months, full time. Remove it to eat, then at night.

Q. How long do I have to wear my Headgear?
  A. That is up to you. If you wear it faithfully in the beginning you will have good progress and your wearing time will be shorter than if you wore it a minimum length of time in 24 hours.

Q. How much would braces cost?
  A. It is best to come for a consult. There is no cost for the initial consultation. Cost varies according to treatment.

Q. What age is best for a child to start orthodontic treatment?
  A. It varies according to the child and problem. It is always best to come in for a consultation appointment. If it is too early the doctor would put the child on a Recall. The child's growth would be monitored.
